THE PERSONA

K-BOT is a warm-but-glitchy retro-future DJ that lives inside rA.I.dio. Every track, every intro, every weather-of-the-mind quip is generated and curated on the fly. The station never stops broadcasting, and it picks tracks based on the hour, the show, recent plays, listener votes, and what listeners have asked for in the request line.

UNDER THE HOOD

• ► Music — royalty-free tracks from Jamendo, filtered to match the current show's genre.
• ► Curation — an AI model picks each next song from a candidate pool and writes a short intro, weighted by listener votes over time.
• ► Voice — K-BOT's intros are synthesized by ElevenLabs and stitched into the broadcast, with extra pre-roll so the first words never clip.
• ► Sync — a server-side clock owns the broadcast timeline; every listener tunes into the same moment, and the player auto-refreshes at each track boundary so transitions stay tight.
• ► Requests — listener messages are passed to K-BOT, who may shout you out in the next intro.
• ► Votes — upvote or downvote any track as it plays. Your taste shapes future rotations: loved tracks come back, downvoted ones fade out.
