WHO WE ARE

K-BOT.fm ("K-BOT", "we", "us") is an AI-DJ'd internet radio station broadcasting on the web at kbot.fm and via native apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it.

WHAT WE COLLECT

• ► Anonymous client ID — a random identifier generated on your device and stored locally so we can rate-limit votes and requests and remember your chat handle. It is not linked to your real identity.
• ► Chat messages — anything you post in listener chat is stored so other listeners can read it.
• ► Song requests — the text of requests you submit to the request line, so K-BOT can read them out.
• ► Votes — upvotes and downvotes on tracks, tied to your anonymous client ID, used to weight future rotations.
• ► Approximate location — when you tune in, we derive a rough location (typically country, and where available a city or region) from your internet connection, along with your device's time zone. This tells us which corners of the world are listening; it is not precise enough to identify you or pinpoint where you are, and your internet address itself is not stored.
• ► Listening activity — when you tune in and for how long you stay, which show is on air, and how you arrived (directly, from a link, or from the app). This helps us learn what programming holds an audience.
• ► Technical data — device or browser type, app version, and basic request metadata, used for reliability, rate-limiting and abuse prevention. We do not build advertising profiles.
• ► Website analytics — on the website only, aggregate counts of visits and interactions (such as tuning in or sending a request) are recorded through a privacy-respecting measurement service, tied to the anonymous client ID rather than to you. The service honors your browser's do-not-track setting, and our native apps send nothing to it.

WHAT WE DON'T COLLECT

• ► We do not require accounts, names, or email addresses to listen, vote, or chat.
• ► We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
• ► We do not use cross-site tracking or advertising SDKs, in the browser or in our native apps.
• ► We do not access your precise location (GPS), microphone, camera, contacts, or photos.
• ► We do not store your internet address — it is used only in the moment to rate-limit abuse and derive the approximate location described above.

THIRD PARTIES

We use a small number of service providers to run the station. None of them receive your real identity, and none may use your data for their own purposes.

• ► Cloud hosting and data storage — runs the station's database, servers, and stored files.
• ► Music catalog provider — supplies the licensed music we stream.
• ► Voice synthesis provider — generates the DJs' spoken intros from text we send. No listener data is sent.
• ► AI model providers — process curation and intro-writing prompts. No personal data is sent.
• ► Measurement provider — records the anonymous website analytics described above.

YOUR CHOICES

You can clear your anonymous client ID at any time by clearing site data in your browser or reinstalling the app. You can prevent the website's anonymous analytics by enabling your browser's do-not-track setting or blocking the measurement script. To request deletion of chat messages or requests tied to your client ID, contact us at the address below.

CHILDREN

K-BOT is rated 12+. The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

CHANGES

We may update this policy as the station evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page.
